DENT's RoCoil line of Rogowski Coil CTs offer significant advantages over conventional Split Core or Clamp-On CTs in certain installations. These "rope-style" Current Transformers deliver "installer-friendly" features such as large window size, light weight, wide current range, and mechanical flexibility for mounting in tight quarters. RoCoils provide accurate, non-intrusive measurement of AC current combined with easy placement around cable bundles, large bus bars and irregular shaped conductors. RoCoil CTs are designed for use with DENT's PowerScout™ networked power meters and ELITEpro XC/SP™ instruments. This Rogowski-type sensor produces an output signal (di/dt) of 131mVAC per 1000A at 60Hz (110mVAC/1000A @ 50Hz). These CTs require a customer-supplied integrator/amplifier (such as the one built in to DENT's ELITEpro XC/SP and PowerScout instruments).

Like its name implies, the RoCoil mV produces a millivolt output for use with power meters without a built-in amplifier/integrator circuitry. These CTs are available in standard lengths up to 72" and current ranges up to 6000A AC. The RoCoil mV requires 5-24V DC for operation, which can be supplied from a Line-Powered ELITEpro or optional external power supply.

• 1000A, 2000A, 3000A, and 6000A ranges
• Max output of 1.66VAC for use with other manufacturer's meters

Flexible CTs with a Output

The RoCoil TCA-5™ is a three channel integrating transconductance amplifier that translates the electrical output signal from the RoCoil current sensor to a 5 amp AC current, emulating a traditional current sensing transformer. The RoCoil TCA-5™ delivers the flexibility and ease-of-installation of the RoCoil flexible current sensors to applications using power meters with current transformer inputs.

The RoCoil TCA-5 is a DIN rail or panel mounted device requiring an external 48 volt power supply (supplied as an option) The RoCoil TCA-5 has four selectable current ranges: 500, 1000, 2500, and 5000 and is accurate for both 50 and 60 Hz systems.

Standard Features:

• The RoCoil TCA-5 has been factory-calibrated for usse with DENT RoCoil CTs
• Output current is between 0 - 5.0 Amps (RMS)
• Available RoCoil sensing ranges are 500, 1000, 2500, and 5000 Amps (selectable)
• Use on three-phase or single phase systems
• 50/60Hz
