10% BSA Diluent/Blocking Solution serves a dual purpose.
As a blocking solution it binds to any remaining protein
binding sites after the primary antigen or antibody is bound to
the solid phase surface. As a diluent for antigens, antibodies,
and other proteins, it ensures minimal non-specific interaction
of these reactants with each other and with the solid phase
surface.
