Horseradish peroxidase (HRP), RZ 1.0 is a heme-containing enzyme commonly used in biochemical and proteomics research. Frequently conjugated to immunoglobulins. Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) utilizes hydrogen peroxide to oxidize a wide variety of substrates including Luminol sodium salt . benzidine , DAB (3-3' diaminobenzidine tetrachloride, ) and TMP (tetramethylbenzidine, ). This oxidation reaction gives rise to a color change, thereby identifying the target molecule in a variety of assays such as Western blotting, ELISA and immunohistochemistry.
