描述：Eicosadienoic acid is a novel w-6 C20:2 fatty acid having a more common form (11Z,14Z) that competitively inhibits inosine 5’-monophosphate dehydrogenase1 and inhibits the binding of LTB4 to its receptor in neutrophils.2 There has been shown a negative correlation between serum levels of eicosadienoic acids and degrees of sleep disturbances.3 In vivo, eicosadienoic acis are converted by desaturases to eicosatrienoic acids, potent vasodilators. No studies have been conducted on the physiological effects of eicosadienoic acid.
