描述：Fibronectin Inhibitor is a tetrapeptide which supports fibroblast attachment and inhibits fibronectin binding to platelets. Also an integrin binding sequence that inhibits integrin receptor function. Has been shown to decrease systemic inflammation via inhibition of collagen-triggered activation of leukocytes and attenuates expression of inflammatory cytokines, iNOS and MMP-9. Has been also shown to promote cell attachment and abrogates apoptosis via the mitochondrial pathway in osteoblasts in vitro . Known to be a target sequence for syphilis spirochete adherence.
