Propiverine is an anticholinergic drug used for the treatment of overactive bladder and urinary incontinence.

Propiverine administered orally in mice binds significantly to muscarinic receptors in the bladder and its binding activity is more prominent and longer-lasting in the bladder than in the submaxillary gland. Propiverine is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and undergoes high first-pass metabolism. It is metabolized in the liver and intestine to form the active metabolites.
