Due to their limited shelf life, LSBio ELISA kits are not typically stocked as finished goods. Upon receipt of an order each kit is assembled and tested to ensure that it meets specifications before shipping. Minor changes may occur to the Range, Sensitivity, and Precision. In the event of a significant change the order would be confirmed with the customer before shipping ELISA kit lot numbers reflect the date of final assembly and testing for each specific kit rather than a bulk manufactured lot. All kits are tested to confirm that they fall within their defined Inter- and Intra- assay coefficient of variation. Kit Components

Background
This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with a-Endorphin . During the reaction, a-Endorphin in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of a-Endorphin on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Antibody specific to a-Endorphin . Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and HRP-Streptavidin(SABC) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of a-Endorphin in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Restrictions
