【性状】 硫酸铵无色结晶或半透明粉末。相对密度1.769。热至100℃开始分解成氨及硫酸氢铵。溶于水，不溶于乙醇和丙酮。

Nature: Colorless crystallization or semi-transparent powder. Relative density is 1.769. When heated to 100℃, it starts to decompose into ammonification and ammonium hydrogen sulfate. It dissolves in the water, does not dissolve in the ethyl alcohol and the acetone.

【用途】 主要用于分析试剂，是医药工业，化工、染织、医药、皮革等原料,助染剂、食品催化剂、缓冲剂，皮革脱灰剂，如用作沉淀剂、掩蔽剂；用作电化学分析中的支持电解质，还用于微生物培养基及铵盐制备。
