DNA quantitation of purified DNA samples is a standard nucleic acid research workflow, providing confidence for downstream applications such as Next Gen Sequence, PCR, Cloning, and DNA transfections (Figure 1).

In addition, Applied BioProbes' iQuant™ DNA Quantitation Kits provide higher sensitivity than absorbance-based quantitation methods, such as NanoDrop (Figure 2).

Further, iQuant™ DNA Quantitation Kits exhibit excellent selectivity for DNA, even in the presence of an equal mass of RNA (Figure 3).
Figure 3. Selectivity for dsDNA using iQuant™ HS dsDNA Quantitation Kit in the presence of an equal mass of RNA.
iQuant™ DNA Quantitation Kits show superior accuracy for detecting dsDNA compared with NanoDrop, especially at relatively low DNA concentrations (Figure 4).

The iQuant™ DNA kits for DNA quantitation are simple to use. Just mix your DNA sample with iQuant™ dye solution, and perform the assays in either a multi-well plate reader, or in single tubes (Figure 5). The iQuant™ kits are compatible with the Qubit® fluorometer from Life Technologies and the Quantus™ fluorometer from Promega.
