Description | ![](http://item.yiqi.com/pic/ConPic/4/spacer.gif) | Biotinylated IgG Fraction Polyclonal Antibody against Beta Amyloid (Aβ) 42 (Formerly Signet Catalog Nos.: 9135-02, 9135-05, 9135-10) |
Intended Use | ![](http://item.yiqi.com/pic/ConPic/4/spacer.gif) | **Research Use Only (RUO)** This product is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use. |
Form | ![](http://item.yiqi.com/pic/ConPic/4/spacer.gif) | Biotin Labeled IgG Fraction (Stored in PBS + 50% Glycerol; no preservatives or carrier proteins) |
Host | ![](http://item.yiqi.com/pic/ConPic/4/spacer.gif) | Beta Amyloid 42 Polyclonal Antibody, Biotin Labeled IgG Fraction (SIGNET)Rabbit |
Specificity | ![](http://item.yiqi.com/pic/ConPic/4/spacer.gif) | Covance’s rabbit anti beta amyloid (Aβ) 42 antibody is specific for the C-terminus of Aβ 42. The rabbit anti Aβ 42 reacts extremely well with the 42 isoform. The rabbit anti Aβ 42 antibody does not cross-react with Aβ 40 or APP. Altered levels of Aβ isoforms, specifically the Aβ 40 and Aβ 42 have been shown in the brain tissues and CSF of Alzheimer’s Disease patients. This antibody was generated against a peptide conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin. |
Uses | ![](http://item.yiqi.com/pic/ConPic/4/spacer.gif) | This antibody is effective in immunohistochemistry (IHC). |
Suggested Working Dilution | ![](http://item.yiqi.com/pic/ConPic/4/spacer.gif) | The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. - IHC:
Pretreatment: The epitope must be re-exposed in fixed tissue by pretreatment of tissue using formic acid (70%) for 10-30 minutes at room temperature |
Storage | ![](http://item.yiqi.com/pic/ConPic/4/spacer.gif) | Do not store antibody diluted below 50 ug/mL in the absence of protein (i.e.: add 2% bovine serum albumin). The antibody is best stored undiluted at -20°C to -70°C. |
