The C-terminal sequence of this hybrid peptide corresponds to (Ala¹⁵)ET-1 (12-21), and the N-terminal sequence is derived from RES-701-1, an endothelin type B (ET-B) receptor antagonist of microbial origin. This hybrid peptide showed a selectivity for the type B receptor and inhibited ET-1 binding to ET-B receptor with an IC₅₀ value of 0.24 nM.
