产品背景介绍：Tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH) is one of a small family of monooxygenases that use tetrahydropterine as a cofactor during the catabolism of aromatic L amino acids. It contains catalytic and regulatory domains, as well as a short tetramerizaton domain. TPH is the first catalytic step in the biosynthesis of serotonin in the CNS and melatonin in the pineal gland. TPH plays an important role in the pathology of several neuropsychiatric disorders, including depression, aggression, and schizophrenia.色氨酸在脑中首先由色氨酸羟化酶(tryoptophan hydroxylase)催化生成5羟色氨酸(5hydroxytryptophan)，再经脱羧酶作用生成5羟色胺，色氨酸羟化酶（TPH）是5-HT生物合成的限速酶，因此，色氨酸羟化酶的缺少可导致5-羟色胺的含量下降。色氨酸羟化酶主要在肝脏内代谢。
