Anti-phospho-Ser/Thr-Pro, MPM-2, agarose conjugate
Description:
Anti-phospho-Ser/Thr-Pro, MPM-2, agarose conjugate
Specificity:
Recognizes a phosphorylated epitope (LTPLK or YWFSPL)6,7 in a distinct class of phosphoproteins including MAP2, HSP70, cdc25, and DNA topoisomerase IIα, most of which are phosphorylated at the onset of mitosis. The number of phosphoproteins recognized by MPM2 varies from species to species and with the type of cell.
Key Applications:
- Immunocytochemistry
- Immunoprecipitation
Application Notes:
Suitable for immunoprecipitation and affinity purification.
Species Reactivity:
All
Species Reactivity Note:
Both animals and plants.
Immunogen:
Mitotic human HeLa cell cytosolic lysate.
Modifications:
Phosphorylation
Presentation:
1 mg of MPM2 antibody covalently coupled to 1 mL of protein G agarose beads and provided as a 50% slurry suspended in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide for a final volume of 2 mL.
Storage Conditions:
1 year at 4°C
Quality Assurance:
routinely evaluated by immunoprecipitating mitotic MPM2 antigens from colcemid treated human HeLa cells as shown by subsequent immunoblot using the monoclonal anti-phospho-Ser/Thr-Pro, MPM2 (05-368)
