Form: A freeze-dried material.

Storage conditions: Store desiccated at -15℃ or below. Allow to come to room temperature before opening. Before returning to storage, re-desiccate under vacuum over silica gel for a minimum of four hours. Re-seal before returning to -15℃ or below.

Unit definition: That amount of enzyme catalysing the production of one micromole of cholesterol per minute at 37℃ under specified conditions of assay

Activity: Not less than 35 U/mg material (approximately 45 U/mg protein).

Solubility: Dissolves readily at 5mg/ml in 0.1M sodium phosphate buffer, pH 7.0, to give a clear solution.

Contaminants: GO: less than 0.001%
Uricase: less than 0.001%
Chymotrypsin: less than 0.5%
Trypsin: less than 0.5%
