关于Cathepsin D：
The protein acid protease active in intracellular protein breakdown and involved in the pathogenesis of several diseases such as breast cancer and possibly Alzheimer disease. It is specificity similar to, but narrower than, that of pepsin A and it does not cleave the 4-Gln-|-His-5 bond in B chain of insulin. It consists of a light chain and a heavy chain and expressed in the aorta extrcellular space. The Val-58 allele is significantly overrepresented in demented patients (11.8%) comp*(代"a")red with non-demented controls (4.9%). Carriers of the Val-58 allele have a 3.1-fold increased risk for developing AD than non-carriers.It belongs to the peptidase A1 family

Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) is a member of the neurotrophin family. Along with other structurally related neurotrophic factors NGF, NT-3 and NT-4, BDNF binds with high affinity to the TrkB kinase receptor. It also binds with the LNGFR (for low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor, also known as p75). BDNF promotes the survival, growth and differentiation of neurons. It serves as a major regulator of synaptic transmission and plasticity at adult synapses in many regions of the CNS. BDNF expression is altered in neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson"s and Alzheimer"s disease.

Protein S100-P (S100P) belongs to the S100 family of Calcium-Binding Proteins. S100P is 95 amino acids in length and it contains 2 EF-Hand Calcium-Binding Motifs. The EF-Hand Motif binds calcium, which likely alters molecular conformation. S100 proteins are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells and it is involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. In addition to binding Ca, S100P also binds Zn and Mg, and may play a role in the etiology of prostate cancer.
