Neuronal cell adhesion molecule(NRCAM) is a single-pass type I membrane protein ,containing 5 fibronectin type-III domains and 6 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains.It belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. NrCAM is engaged in such biological processes as axonal fasciculation, cell-cell adhesion, central nervous system development, clustering of voltage-gated sodiu*(代"m") channels, neuron migration, positive regulation of neuron differentiation, regulation of axon extension, and synaptogenesis. It also may play a role in the molecular assembly of the nodes of Ranvier. NrCAM effects are also linked with different recognition processes and signal transduction pathways regulating cell differentiation, proliferation, or migration

关于AREG:
Amphiregulin (AREG) is a single-pass membrane protein with 252 amino acids. AREG belongs to the amphiregulin family, which contains 1 EGF-like domain. AREG is expressed in a variety of tissues including ovary, placenta, lung, kidney, stomach, colon, and breast. It is related to Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) and Transforming Growth Factor Alpha (TGF-alpha). As an EGF-related growth factor, AREG interacts with the EGF/TGF-alpha receptor to promote the growth of normal epithelial cells and inhibits the growth of certain aggressive carcinoma cell lines. AREG may also play a protective role in Bleomycin-Induced Pneumopathy.

Thioredoxin (TXN) is a member of the Thioredoxin family. Thioredoxin exists as a disulfide-linked homodimer and contains one Thioredoxin domain. Thioredoxin is up-regulated by ionizing radiation. Thioredoxin participates in various redox reactions through the reversible oxidation of its active center dithiol to a disulfide and catalyzes dithiol-disulfide exchange reactions. Thioredoxin also plays a role in the reversible S-nitrosylation of cysteine residues in target proteins, and thereby contributes to the response to intracellular nitric oxide.

Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 4 Inhibitor C (CDKN2C) is a member of the INK4 family of cyclin dependent kinase inhibitors. CDKN2C contains 4 ANK repeats and interacts with CDK4 or CDK6. Highest levels of CDKN2C can be found in skeletal muscle, pancreas, and heart. CDKN2C inhibits cell growth and proliferation with a correlated dependence on endogenous retinoblastoma protein RB and prevent the activation of the CDK kinases. Studies have been shown the roles of CDKN2C gene in regulating spermatogenesis, as well as in suppressing tumorigenesis.
