关于VDBP:
Vitamin D-Binding Protein (VDBP) is a member of the ALB/AFP/VDB family. VDBP is a secreted protein and contains three albumin domains. The primary structure contains 28 cysteine residues forming multiple disulfide bonds. VDBP acts as a multifunctional protein found in plasma, ascitic fluid, cerebrospinal fluid, and urine and on the surface of many cell types. VDBP binds to vitamin D and its plasma metabolites and transports them to target tissues. VDBP associates with membrane-bound immunoglobulin on the surface of B-lymphocytes and with IgG Fc receptor on the membranes of T-lymphocytes.

关于CCL8/MCP-2:
Human Chemokine (C-C Motif) Ligand 8 (CCL8) is produced by human MG63 osteosarcoma cells. CCL8 shares 62% and 58% amino acid sequence identity with MCP-1 and MCP-3, respectively. All three MCP proteins are monocyte chemoattractants. CCL8 is chemotactic for and activates many different immune cells, including mast cells, eosinophils and basophils, which are implicated in allergic response, and monocytes, T cells, and NK cells that are involved in the inflammatory response. CCL8 elicits its effects by binding to several different cell surface receptors including CCR1, CCR2B and CCR5.

Wnt signaling plays a critical role in embryonic development, and genetic aberrations. Frizzled2 (Fzd2) is a receptor for wingless-type MMTV integration site family members (Wnts), the aberrant overexpression of which has been noted to contribute to cancer metastasis. Frizzled2 (Fzd2) and its ligands Wnt5a/b are elevated in metastatic liver, lung, colon, and breast cancer cell lines and in high-grade tumors and that their expression correlates with markers of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). It is also shown that Frizzled-2 expression is greater in embryonic than adult tissues, with heart, brain, lung, kidney and gut showing the highest levels.

Mouse CCL9 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It is expressed mainly in the liver, lung, and the thymus, although some expression has been detected in a wide variety of tissues except brain. CCL9 can activate osteoclasts through its receptor CCR1 (the most abundant chemokine receptor found on osteoclasts) suggesting an important role for CCL9 in bone resorption.
