Description FAST RED Chromogen System, 1000 Tests

Intended Use ** In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) **

Form Chromogen Detection System

Specificity Signet’s FAST RED Chromogen System consists of FAST RED chromogen tablets and substrate buffer. FAST RED reacts in the presence of alkaline phosphatase to produce red staining with minimal background noise. The FAST RED System provides sufficient material for 300 tests.

FAST RED Chromogen System (SIGNET)The System Contains:

Fast Red Chromogen, 20 Tablets

Buffer, 2x50mL

Suggested Working Dilution

Protocol:
1. Mix the FAST RED chromogen tablet(s) and the FAST RED substrate buffer as described above
2. Apply mixture to tissue section
3. Incubate the slides for 10-20 min. at room temperature
4. Rinse tissue sections with deionized water
5. Counterstain and mount [Note: The Fast Red precipitate is soluble in alcohol. Do not process slides with xylenes and alcohol.]
6. FAST RED produces a red precipitate with almost no background

Notes Prepare the DAB solution by combining components as described in the following table.

Final mL = Buffer + FAST RED Tablets
FAST RED Chromogen System (SIGNET)5 mL = 5 mL + 1 Tablet
10 mL = 10 mL + 2 Tablets
25 mL = 25 mL + 5 Tablets

Storage Store between 2-8°C. FAST RED preparations should be stored in a manner which minimizes exposure to light.
