Description
Cyclosporin is an immunosuppressive cyclic polypeptide drug commonly used post-transplant to prevent graft rejection from the cytotoxic effects of T-cells.
TOKU-E offers seven forms of cyclosporin: cyclosporin A,EvoPure?, cyclosporin B, EvoPure?, cyclosporin C, EvoPure?,cyclosporin D, EvoPure?, cyclosporin E, EvoPure?, cyclosporin H, EvoPure?, and cyclosporin L, EvoPure?. Cyclosporin is soluble in DMSO and ethyl alcohol. EvoPure? products are purified single antibiotic fractions, most >99% pure.
Mechanism
Cyclosporins bind to the intercellular lymphocyte protein called cyclophilin. Cyclosporine:cyclophilin complexes target calcineurin, a protein-phosphatase which activates T-cells and ultimately prevents T-cell maturation and cytotoxic damage.
